The RangeCafe at Peacock Gap Golf Club has been hand-crafting spectacular dishes since we first opened our doors to the San Rafael community in 2013. Our extensive menu ranges from American bistro fare, to steaks, to Mexican favorites, with monthly and daily specials, served in a relaxing and family-friendly environment. Delight in fresh, seasonal cuisine crafted by our executive chef or simply enjoy a glass of wine from the finest Northern California vineyards on our outdoor patio. 
Pilar Barton

Restaurant General Manager

Pilar Barton brings over 15 years of experience in managing and directing restaurant operations for golf resorts, hospitality and recreation businesses around the globe. She realized her passion for service while working at a resort in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia. Pilar developed a sterling reputation for her work ethic and attention to service and detail. She was selected to assist in the opening of the Westin Hotel and Golf Club in Abu Dhabi where she was instrumental in establishing the foundation for service excellence. Joining the team at the RangeCafe has brought her a renewed passion to develop a winning team.

Pilar lives in Marin County where she enjoys outdoor pursuits including running, biking, swimming, and more. Pilar is active in animal rescue and has adopted two rescue dogs.

John Evans

Executive Chef

John is a  graduate of the California Culinary Academy and has worked under renowned celebrity chef Kat Cora. Before coming to Peacock Gap, John worked for Claremont Club and Spa in Berkeley and Postino Restaurant. He has a passion for delivering an awarding winning culinary experience accented by his own expertise in food and wine. John is innovative and creative and we are excited to have him on the Peacock Gap team.
